The table below shows how the UK unemployed spent their time last year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The table illustrates how people without employment in the UK allocate the timing of all the things they did during the previous year. The data is segregated by gender (men and women) and
also
by time of
day
(morning and
afternoon
).
Overall
, women did something similar regardless of the time of
day
which was housework, both occupying the top spots in the morning and
afternoon
categories (49% and 21% respectively).
On the other hand
, men experienced a shift in terms of the things they did between the two periods of the
day
, having done job hunting in the morning with 22% and continuing with watching TV in the
afternoon
with 14%. For the male respondents, popular activities that gathered 10% or more responses looked quite different between the two periods. Apart from hunting for jobs, it was worth noticing that in the morning they were more into shopping (20%), housework (19%) and gardening (14%). When
afternoon
came,
although
gardening (13%) and job hunting (12%) still appeared to be popular, more of them stated they visited friends or relatives as well, showing a huge rise from only 6% to 12%.
On the contrary
, for the female respondents, the top activities in all periods looked quite similar with very few shifts. All throughout the morning until
afternoon
, after housework, most of them spent their time doing shopping (26% at first
then
slightly decreased to 17%), looking for occupations (with 16% at the start of the
day
and later became 13%) and visiting friends or relatives (10% and 17% respectively).
However
, there were two things that underwent a massive surge from morning to
afternoon
, which were watching TV (a sixfold increase from 2% to 12%) and reading (double the amount from 5% to 10%).
