Some people believe that professionals such as doctors and engineers should be required to work in the country where they did their training. Others believe they should be free to work in another country if they wish. Discuss both views and give your own answers.

It is mainly believed that professions
such
as doctors and engineers are to train themselves in the
country
while
some think that they should be given the freedom to
work
abroad.
This
essay will discuss
both
views and provide my own perspective on the matter. Undoubtedly, the
country
is not attractive for
professionals
to
work
at,
due to
its lack of facilities, low career prospects and
also
below standard salary.
This
results in the lack of
professionals
coming to the
country
to
work
there, to help the countrymen with their problems. With the requirement of
professionals
to
work
there, it is undeniable that
this
is beneficial not only for the
professionals
but
also
for the villagers. The
professionals
could have hands-on experience but the dwellers in the
country
could have their problems solved.
For instance
: The arrival of a doctor helps pregnant women in the
country
with the
knowledge
of nutrition and the delivery of giving birth.
On the other hand
, giving the freedom for them to
work
abroad is surely beneficial in terms of escalating their
knowledge
and expanding their understanding on other cultures.
This
is crucial for their self-improvement as
professionals
need to always keep-up with the current trend and technology.
For example
: an engineer who moves to Canada and works at a company with other engineers will have to co-
work
with other engineers coming from different cultural and educational background. Definitely, he has to break the cultural barrier and will
also
learn new concept or
knowledge
from his peers. From my point of view,
both
give benefits for the
professionals
.
However
, for developing countries like Indonesia, which has limited
professionals
and the disparity between cities and villages is pretty high, the idea of serving in the
country
for training is more beneficial for
both
the
professionals
themselves and
also
the villagers. Surely they are allowed to
work
abroad after they graduate. As a conclusion,
both
training in the
country
and working abroad have their own benefits by giving practical experiences and escalating their
knowledge
. To my belief, for developing countries, the first is more applicable and beneficial for all sides.
