Last weekend, your cousin celebrated her 50th birthday, but you could not attend and forgot to cancel. Write a letter to your cousin. In your letter: Apologize for missing the birthday celebration Explain why you missed it and why you had not let her know Describe how you will make it up to her
Dear Abbey,
Hope you and Rhy are hale and healthy.
My main intention for writing
this
letter is to convey my deepest apologies for missing the celebration of your 50th birthday. I wanted to attend the function badly. As a part of my team's research project, We had a pre-scheduled 10-day trip to Antarctica which unfortunately got delayed by 3 days as our ship got stuck in the ice and had to be rescued by the coast guard. We were so isolated from the outside world that the only mode of communication was the emergency radio, which put me in a bad situation of not being able to inform you about my absence from the celebration well ahead.
To compensate for the missed celebration I am planning to visit and stay with you in the coming week.
I hope you have accepted my apologies.
Yours lovingly,
