Mrs Adams was admitted on 21 June, with progressive persistent pain and swelling in her hands, wrists, and knees for 3 months. On the first physical examination of the musculoskeletal system, arthritis in MCP and PIP joints with reduced grip strength was found. She has arthritis in both wrists, and both knees as well. She did not have any visible joint deformities.
Her blood test results have been showing high inflammatory markers including ESR and CRP. Rheumatoid Factor and Anti-CCP antibodies were positive. The X-rays of her hands and knees revealed joint space narrowing and marginal erosions in her hands Linking Words
