In the current decade, malls and large shopping centers have gotten more popular and the sell of small shops in local areas has dropped. The advantages of being able to work in places further away include faster career advancement opportunities, more job availabilities and being part of a larger workforce. Such benefits outweigh the small disadvantages that come with travelling such as time and money spent on travelling up and down.
