, the washing machine was used most by the people in the USA at the end
of the period, whereas
the DVD player was used least by them. Other technologies in the reference showed some increments over time.
It is conspicuous that washing machine used by 60% in 1995 grew steadily to 80% at the end
of the study. The use of DVD players fell from 25% to 15% in 1996, then
steadily rose to 20% the next year and doubled to 40% in 1999. Computers, in the meantime, crept up to 70% in 1999 from 40% in 1995.
