the two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010
The location sketches illustrate the developments that happened in 2010 in the area of the city hospital compared to that of 2007, including the
road
to reach the hospital.
Overall
, significant changes had occurred to the place where a new
road
layout, a new
bus
station and a new public parking space were built.
To begin
with , the city
road
runs parallel to the hospital in the south, which is bisected by another to enter the hospital. On either side of
this
road
, six
bus
stops were there and on the right-hand side of the
road
, there was a parking space for staff and the public. The bisecting
road
(known as hospital
road
) joined another
road
which ran around the building and was known as a ring
road
.
This
was the picture in 2007.
On the other hand
, in 2010, the point where the hospital
road
met the city
road
, had changed to a roundabout leading to another roundabout where it met the ring
road
. The common parking ground became staff-only.
Bus
stops were replaced by a
bus
station on the west of the hospital
road
which had two roads directly leading to both roundabouts. A large public car park was built on the east end of the ring
road
, which had access and exit from the ring
road
. The staff car park was accessed via ring
road
too only.
