Some people say that in all levels of education, from primary school to university, too much time is spent on learning facts and not enough learning practical skills. Do you agree or disagree?
In recent years, many
students
have spent hours in class learning about facts rather than practical skills
. Is this
true or just a bias because they often spend most of their days listening to the teacher? Other people agree that they need to learn more about practical skills
such
as debate and cooking. However
, I disagree with that. In my opinion, students
need to learn more about knowledge because the rapid improvement in technology and practical skills
are easy to learn.
Nowadays, technology has improved a lot and students
need to catch up every day. They need to understand the history of the past in order to build the future. Hence
, they can continue the legacy and maintain our social life like today. For example
, the knowledge about financial modelling in university,
is a complex mathematics that can't be absorbed in one day.

On the other hand
, students
can learn practical skills
almost everywhere. Students
at junior high school can learn how to cook from their mother. Moreover
, they can join a committee in the school to learn other skills
such
as negotiation and debate. Basically, these practical skills
are easy and students
can practice them anytime.
In conclusion, I believe that students
need to spend more time to study about knowledge and facts at school. Therefore
, they can catch up with the development of technology nowadays. Moreover
, practical skills
are easy to be studied. If students
spend enough time to understand the facts, they will create a better world for this
society.Submitted by permata_188 on
