You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world. Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter • offer to make a popular dish from your country • describe what this dish is • explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis, As a member of
this
international club, I would like to make
this
event more exciting by making a popular dish from my own country.
This
food is made of slices of potato, tomato, beans and lamb meat. It tastes better if you add pepper and lemon to it. It is an old well-known Persian food that I've learned from my grandmother and guarantee everyone would love it.
First,
it is very spicy and tasty, and you can add many ingredients to your plate based on your own preferences.
Second,
it is healthy and suitable for people who like watery foods. Most importantly, it is a nostalgic food that all of us have good memories of. One taste of it will bring us back to our good times with families and friends

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
