Some people believe that there should be a fixed punishment for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.
In recent years, many
people
have debated about punishments that should be fixed for each type of crime or not; the following paragraphs will be illustrated supporting both sides of view:
On the one hand, some individuals concur that should be adjusted punishment
in some cases which out of control. Many times in their lives people
will have circumstances they are unable to cope with–leading to people
making mistakes or being misunderstood. In several cases of criminals, the suspect is a victim and needs to prevent themselves by acts of violence and not intending to do wrong. The court needs to consider the details of motivation before judging the punishment
for the equality of victims. For instance
, when the victim kills some people
who rape him or her to prevent themselves, the court should consider to eliminate the punishment
of the victim .
On the other hand
, some people
argue and reckon that people
need to have a moral standard and thinking process to consider when they do something. In their whole life, humans grow up with the rules of society and morals are fundamental to life. when they consider doing something, they need to realise and accept the consequences of their acts. For example
, when some people
hang out with their friends and drink alcohol, they should avoid driving a car because it might cause damage to other people
and law mistakes. If they do not follow the rules, they should be punished.
As I mentioned, there are various aspects to the circumstances of the criminal and tremendous factors to consider whether that should be modified punishment
