The table illustrates funding sources for the
police
budget
in one area of Britain
while
the pie charts display their
budget
allocations in 2017 and 2018. It can clearly be seen from the table that from the three
police
budgets, local taxes increased significantly. The charts show that spending on salaries had been redirected to technology. The table displays that three income sources for the
police
department continued to increase its share of the total
budget
. Of all three, funding from local taxes saw the highest jump to 102.3
million
in 2018 with an addition of 11.1
million
.
Nonetheless
, the national government continued to be the highest with 175.5
million
and 177.8
million
in 2017 and 2018, respectively. The charts illustrate that there was an adjustment for
police
budget
allocations from salaries spending towards technology.
Although
the
budget
for buildings and transport stayed at 17% in both years, the proportion for officers and staff earnings decreased from 75% to 69% in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
On the other hand
, the margins went into the
budget
for technology which grew to 14% from 8%.
