Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning your father language at primary school rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweight disadvantages?

Some specialists argue that youngsters should start expanding their linguistic skills in primary school
instead
of secondary school.
While
there are some drawbacks associated with learning a new
language
from an early age, I believe the main benefits are more sustainable. On the one hand, a potential disadvantage of introducing a second
language
from primary school age may take a lot of time and prevent boosting other important subjects
such
as mathematics, biology, physics, etc. Adding a foreign
language
to their curriculum may reduce the time spent on these crucial subjects. Another perceived negative is that not all students may be interested in learning other languages, and forcing them to do
this
could result in frustration or a lack of motivation.
On the other hand
, a primary advantage of investing time and effort in understanding and speaking another
language
from an early age is that children are more likely to become fluent speakers compared to those who start later. A
further
benefit is that developing the ability to communicate efficiently in a foreign
language
opens up future job opportunities, especially in today's global economy;
for instance
, proficiency in English, the international business
language
, can give individuals more job chances. On balance, introducing foreign
language
education at the primary level would seem disadvantageous under certain circumstances.
However
, in my view, its positive effects in terms of enhanced verbal skills and improved future job prospects override the disadvantages.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
