Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programs ( for example, working for a charity, improving the neighborhood, or teaching sports to younger children) to what extent do you agree or disagree?

Several individuals argue that volunteering in the
community
must be obligatory in the high
school
curriculum. In my opinion, an unpaid public service project should not be a mandatory activity in teen learning

While
charitable efforts have their benefits, I believe making it unavoidable for students could create unnecessary pressure. It is my point of view that forcing young people to participate in
community
work can take them away from their academic goals and personal development. Upper
school
is a crucial time for young learners to build strong foundations in their education, and imposing extra obligations like public work can reduce their ability to perform academic tasks.
Additionally
, pupils have commitments to do their homework, and forcing mandatory activities might lead them to exhaustion and overwhelm. Engaging in public projects should come from personal interests, not obligatory by the
school
.
In contrast
, some people claim that encouraging students to participate in
community
services helps them develop a sense of responsibility and empathy. They firmly insist that engaging in charity projects teaches interpersonal skills and contributes to the well-being of society.
However
, I do not find
this
argument convincing, as when schoolchildren are forced to participate, they may not fully appreciate the value of the experience.
As a result
, it can lead to a lack of connection with the
community
and diminish personal growth. In conclusion, I completely disagree with the view that unpaid public services should be a required part of secondary
school
plans because it is important to encourage learners to become volunteers based on their interest rather than impose it as a necessary part of their schedule, and doing obligatory projects may affect the academic attention.
