In the future all cars, busses and trucks will be driveless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers. do you think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages?

Many think that vehicles
such
as cars, buses and trucks could have a driverless feature and only the
people
travelling would be local passengers. I do not believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, because they would be more worried about their life. Nowadays, technological enhancement has made life comparatively easy.
However
, it does not prove to be the best solution. Human errors are common but
people
would rather prefer to trust a person who drives a car. Machines can make mistakes
due to
various reasons
such
as low maintenance, and mechanical failure, which may cause unwanted accidents.
For example
, Tesla manufactures cars that have a drive-free feature. It gained significant demand but at the same time, a lot of
people
reported incidents like engine breakdown and stalling.
Secondly
,
this
could
also
allow unemployment to rise in the future. Cities with huge populations need drivers to help
people
commute.
This
could affect their income significantly.
Moreover
, the automobile industry could potentially face heavy losses and changes. On one side, an average middle-class resident would find it difficult to buy these kinds of commodities and
on the other hand
, companies would require lots of investment and time for
such
advanced features. In today's world, change is constant.
However
, it is nearly impossible to change the habits and trust of
people
.
While
the idea of driverless cars could make things easy they do not overshadow the drawbacks.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
