LIVING IN A COUNTRY WHERE YOU HAVE TO SPEAK A FOREIGN LANGUAGE CAN CAUSE SERIOUS SOCIAL PROBLEMS AS WELL PRACTICAL PROBLEMS. TO WHAT EXTENT DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE.

It is a popular belief that, residing in a country where speaking a different
language
is required can pose serious social, and practical challenges. I completely agree with
this
assertion, and will be discussed below. The inability to speak a
language
, which is essential for effective communication in a foreign country, would make it difficult to socialize with people easily. Making friends, which is very important in every society, becomes very difficult for foreign residents due to the
language
barrier.
Consequently
,
such
individuals become lonely, and they tend to live a life of boredom.
For example
, it was recently revealed by the department of social sciences of the university of Lagos that, most foreign students suffer depression because they find it difficult to socialize with other students.
Hence

companies tend to employ people that speak the local dialect.
Such
a scenario makes it almost impossible for a foreigner to get a dream job unless the
language
is learnt. A case in point is the city of Quebec in Canada, where the possibility of getting a good job depends on the ability to speak French. A consequence of
this
is that, the rate of unemployment increases if there are lots of foreign residents in that society. In conclusion, because

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
