News plays an important part of most people's lives. Why is news important to people? Why is so much news dedicated to bad news?

News is a very important part of everybody's day to day life. It connects you nationally and internationally with people. There are multiple mediums of news like newspapers, TV news channels, online websites and sometimes social media. Now-a-days all these new channels focus more on broadcasting bad news. For many of us, the day cannot start without reading a newspaper or watching news on TV.
Main reason
The main reason
is we want to know what is going on around us, be it locally or globally. News is important to different people for different reasons, some
to see share market, some are more interested in sports, others just want to know what's going on around the world. Most of the news we see these days is bad news, one of the reasons may be news channels have misunderstood the concept. According to them,
the news
would only be watched if they show people getting hurt whether it is because of the politicians or by the terrorists or by natural calamities. Focussing more on
bad news
makes them miss some of the important issues. News should not be categorized in good or bad news, everything
that is
happening worldwide should reach out to people. And it should be their choice what they are more interested in watching. If there is a major event that
requests polite permission
impact everyone's life than that event should get more importance. In conclusion, all news should be delivered to
an audience
the audience
without categorizing in good or bad.
importance should be given to the one
that is
going to impact majority.
