Some people think that the government is wasting money on the arts and that this money could be better spent elsewhere. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is often thought that

the arts is a waste,
therefore
such
funds earmarked for it should be utilized in other areas
such
as building roads and hospitals. I completely disagree because the arts is not only an aspect of people's lives that they derive pleasure and entertainment from but it is
also
a potential source of huge

government
. The
first
reason I disagree is that
art
is inseparably tied to the way of life of the people. It is an essential aspect of life that people draw a lot of inspiration from.
Also
, it is able to spring up an uncommon feeling of ecstasy and euphoria due to

For example
, the annual Oloke
Art
Festival, which is irrefutably the biggest
art
and culture event in my country, is known to attract personalities from all walks of life.

to the euphoric feeling that comes with viewing the

gallery at Alaafin Museum, the venue of the festival. Another reason I am convinced that spending on cultural arts is not a waste is that it has a huge potential for
revenue
generation. As an example, so much
money
can be made from
art
exhibitions, dance
trouping
, and organization of theatre or music carnivals. As a matter of fact, when
this

. While it is important for

art
can be a good means of making
money
to fund all these and many more. In view of the above discussions, the arts

Therefore
, I implore
government
at all levels to improve on existing

which can be spent in other areas.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
