it is more important for school children to learn about local history than world history. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Studying
history
is indeed a must for young learners to gain fundamental knowledge of the
world
. While I agree that local
history
is important for school children, I
also
believe that learning about the past of the
world
is extremely necessary. On the one hand, local
history
is a vital learning aspect for young children. From my point of view, teaching local
history
to younger generations is a good way to instill into their minds a sense of being grateful to others. Through a series of historical lessons, young learners can form a better understanding of how important the contributions of previous generations are. In Vietnam,
for instance
, people always show respect to those soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the liberty of the nation.
On the other hand
, it is wrong to deny the crucial role of teaching
world
history
to young learners. The main argument is that schoolchildren might broaden their knowledge by learning the
history
of mankind. As
various stories
Suggestion
the various stories
of influential figures in the past being delivered to younger generations, they can be able to understand the whole picture of human evolution, from primitive man to early civilizations. Imagine a generation that grew up without studying the
history
of humankind, those individuals would end up as failures in every aspect of life with thousands of unanswered questions. In conclusion, it is ludicrous to compare the importance of studying local
history
with
world
history
because they both play a vital role in imparting knowledge.
