Some people think that the government is wasting money on the arts and that this money could be better spent elsewhere. To what extent do you agree with this view?

Needless to say,
Art
is a vital part of human life.
Nonetheless
, it is debatable whether it should be sponsored by governments. Since I believe that humankind’s needs necessitate the presence of
art
in daily life, I totally disagree with the

statement provided
. Some reasons led funding arts by governments to be regarded as money wastage, particularly when there are so many other demands on it.
First
and foremost, governments need to allocate large sums of their budget to finance the
art
industry and it seems to be wrong since most of the countries possess limited fiscal resources. Another point is that there are many rich people who immensely take pleasure in funding
art
shows and galleries and they could be an appropriate surrogate for the government.
Third point

The third point
is that other factors of well-being
such
as housing, healthcare, and safety are seemingly more important rather than functions of
art
expressions including aesthetic, relaxation and motivation. Notwithstanding all the above reasons,
art
is still worthwhile to be funded by governments. Artistic works comprise painting, music, sculpture, and etc. Which all can provide an uplift after a stressful working day. Not only does
art
enrich the lives of individuals, but it could be regarded as a revenue source for people and governments. Beside all
art
-related companies which employ many artists every year, museums and
art
galleries play a principal role in most famous tourist destination countries. Every year, The Pizza tower in Italy attracts a crowd of over 1 million visitors and
this
would be an excellent example that illustrates how much
art
is important to the tourism industry. Viewed as a whole, I believe that not only is not dedicating taxes to
art
worthless but

also
governments should make more efforts to bring crafts of artists into
citizens’ daily life

this
is immensely beneficial from the point of view of economy and sociology.
