Some people think that the best way to improve road safety is by reducing the maximum speed limits on vehicles, others think there are other better ways. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

 is of utmost importance, while some people believe that the best
way
 to achieve
this
 is through a reduction in the maximum speed limits, others agree that there are more suitable ways to improve
road
safety
. In my opinion, I agree with the former as
most

 recorded incidents of
road
 accidents have in one
way
 or the other been linked to over speeding. On the one hand,
road
 accidents become worse when the vehicles involved are moving at a very fast rate, the collision becomes more impactful thereby increasing the chances of fatality.
However
, when the max speed limits are lowered and automobiles ply the
road
 at a more reduced pace, the chances of fatal impacts are brought to minimal even upon collision, thereby improving the overall
safety
 of the roads. Records from the Federal
Road
Safety
 Corp shows that in 2016, 65% of highway accidents were caused
as a result
 of over speeding.
On the other hand
, Safeness on the highway can
also
 be increased via the
introduction
 of
road
traffic
 wardens that are stationed at strategic locations on the highway to control, supervise and manage the flow of
traffic

Although
traffic
 management can
also
 be easily achieved through the

 lights, studies have shown that most people in

 part of the world do not obey
traffic
 lights
hence
 making the use warders more effective.

 of speed bumps. Drivers are naturally forced to decelerate while approaching speed bumps, If the speed bumps are distributed at certain intervals, drivers would have no choice than to drive at a slower rate or risk damaging their cars. In conclusion,

 some people believe that
introduction
 of
Traffic
 lights, speed bumps and
Traffic
 Warden are better
way
 to ensure
road
safety
, In my opinion, I believe that lowering the maximum speed limit on
vehicle

 is a more viable option.
