In recent years, farming practice has changed to include methods such as factory farming and the use of technology to improve crops. Some people believe these developments are necessary, while others regard them as dangerous and advocate a return to more traditional farming methods. Discuss both points of view and give your own opinion.

Farming practices appear to be as natural as human existence and it is not expected that farming methods of millions of years ago will still be the same in
this
21st century. The population of the world is growing at a fast rate and the need to feed
this
hungry and growing population means that man will have to think beyond traditional farming methods. Mechanised farming, factory farming and use of technology has now been the result of mankind constantly thinking of a way to have plenty, high yield and disease resistance crops.
However
, with the application of technology, mechanised farming and factory farming, genetically modified crops have now become a challenge and the world is now concerned that
this
new breed of crops is now generating or compounding health issues. The question on everyone's mind is should we return to traditional methods of farming? In my own opinion, it is almost impossible to expect that technological development in the field of agriculture should not advance
further
. In fact, in our fast pace changing world
this
will not happen. Rather, it will make more sense to regulate the rate at which these advance farming practices are being deployed. The government or regulatory organisation should ensure that new farming practices are being properly scrutinised to ensure that they are safe.
