Some people feel that children should be educated in single sex schools; others argue that mixed schools are better. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Education is the need of the hour,
however
the environment where the child is brought up plays an important role in education and learning. In the recent time, many feel that children should be educated in co-ed school,
however
, there are some who argue that single
sex
schools are better. In my perspective, co-ed schools

a by far more learning experience than single

schools.
This
essay
gingerely
delineates both the viewpoints in the following paragraphs.
Firstly
, Studying amongst the same gender might make the student feel safer, as they would not be accustomed to the behaviour and varied physical attributes of the opposite
sex
.
Secondly
, puberty is considered to be the most tiring time of one's life
;
Accept space
;
it is at
this
time when everyone experience changes in terms of mental, emotional and physical appearances. Overall, children might face varied emotions which might not be understood by them,
this
in turn could lead to confusion, embarrassment and frustration.
For example
, a study of public schools in the villages of India has shown that girls in the age group of 11-16 years were more likely to quit school as they were
embarassed
deeply or markedly affected or influenced
impressed
with the physical changes their body goes through during puberty.
On the other hand
, mixed gender schooling will prepare one for today's competitive world. A child who has had exposure to the opposite gender would not hesitate talking to them. It would make it easier for them to stand for themselves and put forth their opinion. Co-ed

schools
school
teaches the child to be more considerate and understanding of the opposite
sex
. They
also
learn to be respectful and accommodating. To exemplify my point
further
, a research conducted in a small city called Pune, situated in India, shows that children who studied in co-ed schools were far more likely to voice their opinion in a crowd. To recapitulate, attending a co-ed or single
sex
school equally have their positive and negative impacts.
However
, one may not outweigh the advantages of the other.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
