John Timothy, Good morning, I hope you are doing well. I am writing to you regarding our recent conversation when you asked me to suggest how the reception area could be improved.
Accordingly
, I have collected some info about the complaints that have been made, in order to come up with possible solutions.
Consequently
, I have found that our customers are complaining about their inability to see the welcome desk when they enter our firm, as well, they start to feel bored during their stay in
such
area as there is nothing to read or to look at on the walls. Overall, I believe that
this
part of our company is critical, as it is the main node
that is
visible to the public.
This
means that we should give more attention to it, in order to maintain and increase the reputation of our corporation. Relevantly, I have come up with several ideas concerning
this
matter.
For instance
, I believe that we should reposition the reception desk to be in front of the company's door

so that it can be visible to our visitors.
On the other hand
, I believe we should put some magazines and books in the waiting space so that our clients do not get bored while waiting for their meetings.
Also
, we can start decorating the wall with some beautiful paintings. Thank you. Yours Faithfully, Mohamed Hawas

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
