Some people think that a huge amount of time and money is spent on the protection of wild animals, and that this money could be better spent on the human populations. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Some individuals believe that the human
population
can be more supported by the large amount of time and money which has been
instead
allocated to preserve the wildlife. Personally, I am of the notion that the protection of wild animals can provide the inhabitants of undeveloped regions with some job opportunities and
food
resources, while the
further
growth of human
population
can worsen the environment’s status and access to initial human requirements. The development of industries and cities has limited the habitats of most of wild animals to only some intact forests and plains. The majority of these creatures have been exposed to extinction;
therefore
, without the support of international organizations, these valuable species will definitely disappear from the Earth in the near future.
Such
supportive measures include funded, long-term, scientific projects aimed to preserve the wildlife. One of the most important purposes of
such
programs is to preserve some of wild animals which have been a component of the
food
chain and been used as a rich source of
food
.
For example
, for the inhabitants of a faraway island in which the land erosion has impeded the farming, fishing can be the alternative choice to achieve the required
food
.
Therefore
, in order to protect the edible fishes, construction of new artificial habitats which promote their hatching guarantees the survival of
such
species. What is obvious is that these time-consuming projects need

of financial supports. The other advantage of protections of wild animals can be observed in the number of job opportunities, most of which
are created

countries with high rates of unemployment.
For instance
, thousands of tourists travel to Africa to visit the intact habitats of some rare species – lions, elephants, and rhinos – and enjoy watching them hunting and grazing

Moreover
, local laboratories which have been set up to perform scientific investigations on protection of rare animals employ some interested indigenous researchers through

projects, creating a source of income for them. On the opposite side, some people claim that it is more beneficial to spend
such
amount of money and time on promotion of the human
population
― through supplying
food
, water, and hygiene. While a considerable percentage of the world’s
population
struggle with significant

issues, including

shortages in populated regions, it is obvious that the
further
population
growth deteriorates these issues because of limited present resources.
Additionally
, any effort to increase the human
population
has direct influences on the environment; more forests should be cut down to develop more farms or construct new residential areas, with higher rates of greenhouse gases being emitted. To recap, redirecting the time and money spent on protection of wildlife to human needs not only endangers some of
food
resources and jobs in less developed regions, but
also
results in excessive growth of
population
, which leads to difficulties in providing their basic requirements and combating environment challenges.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
