Nowadays media should include more good news in their publications. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience

These days, mass media like the television and the internet have, undoubtedly, been considered as the predominant source of getting information among people in world-wide. There is a viewpoint that
media

the media
should cover more positive news in their publications. In my personal perception, it does not appear to be a promising statement to agree with; the relevant and remarkable reasons for which are explained below. The main responsibility of
media

the media
is to report current realities, whether it is positive or not. When reporting about a crisis like natural calamity,

,
media

the media
cannot focus only on the positive sides, but

cover the negatives and the areas of improvement.
Last
year, the state of Kerala in India faced a tremendous outbreak of the life-threatening Nipah virus and lots of people have

reported all the concerns of the people and acted as a mirror between the health department and their citizens, which helped people to learn more about the virus attack and the precautions have to be taken for escaping that menace.
Nevertheless

Also
, reporting more good news can help

the media to surge their rating.
However
, if the media start reporting only happy events, people will lose many valuable information and it is very difficult to survive if a natural calamity occurs.
Moreover
, reporting crimes

helpful for people to take crime prevention. To recapitulate, it is very vital to publish both positive and negative news, and keep the neutrality of news, which aids people in many aspects.
Therefore
, I am in a complete disagreement with the statement that

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
