Children nowadays spend a great deal of time watching television. However, television cannot replace the book as a learning tool, which is why children are less well‐educated today. To what extent do you agree with this statement?

Reading is considered as one of the important tools in the development of a child, but from past few decades, we have seen declines in reading habits, it has been replaced by
TV
. Children spend most of the time in front of
Suggestion
the TV
TV
, because of
this
their education is suffering. Kids these days are addicted to televisions, with the growth of the entertainment industry, there are lots of
TV
shows, Sports, movies or entertainment programs at your disposal, if there are no restrictions, they can spend all day by watching
TV
. The study is not a priority anymore. Continuous
TV
not only affecting their learning ability, but it is
also
an unhealthy activity. In the past families sit together in the evening and watch their favourite shows together, the kids are allowed to watch
TV
for some specific time whereas now a days there is no
such
restrictions by parents. The importance of books cannot be replaced, Reading books ignites your imaginative senses, and Reading helps in grooming personalities. But unfortunately reading is not in our culture anymore, even E-books couldn’t attract the kids. Kids these days attends modern schools, colleges with latest facilities, but still their overall IQ is not up to mark.
TV
just hinders the growth and development of kids and in no circumstances learning from
TV
can be compared to book learning. You can learn a lot from watching
TV
as well, but that learning is not good enough. You can learn basic manners and different life lessons while reading books. If we look around at our society books, readers are clearly more successful and well educated than non-readers.
