You borrowed some books from your school or college library. Unfortunately you have to go away to visit a sick relative and cannot return the books in time. Write a letter to the library. Explain what has happened and tell them what you want to do about it. You should write at least 150 words. You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. You do NOT need to write your own address.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing
this
letter because, unfortunately, I will not be available to return the library's books that I took two weeks ago at the proper time. Please, let me explain in detail the reason why, I hope you can understand.
My mother called me today with bad news about my little sister. She is in the hospital, really sick. The doctors cannot confirm yet what kind of disease she is suffering, so I decided travelling
to my hometown to be with her and my parents to support them.
Definitely, I would like to repair Change the verb form

fault, for that reason, I want to offer my time to take a volunteer job at the library for a couple of days. I will come back here in two weeks if everything gets better and I am going to be able to return the books and start to work.
I hope that you can understand and accept my suggestion as a
forgiveness. I would like to hear from you soon.
Kind regards,
