Many people have suggested that young adults should undertake a period of unpaid work helping people in their local community. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this?

Young people these days are occupied with their gadgets, they prefer to socialize via internet. There are multifarious suggestions that our contemporary youth should take up some charitable work and helps in ameliorating the society by providing helping hands. We are going to elaborate some pros and cons of mentioned approach. For the betterment of our youth it is very important that they contribute some period of their time towards philanthropic causes. It will help them evolve as better human beings and they will learn empathy towards others. Local communities will prosper if contemporary generation dedicates their services towards them. Charitable work at tender age will develop their personality as of giving nature and they will learn to take care of each other. Troubles that are even of scant value will bring them closer and they will unite and harmonize. While focusing on welfare endeavours, they will be exposed to intricate elements of society, if someone is working at rehabilitation centres they will be around drugs and there are chances that they themselves could develop some addiction, and it will sway their focus from the real purpose. High school graduates are always looking for shortcuts in their lives and they can hide behind the charitable work and stop progressing their careers. It is highly imperative to look after our teens and many governments incorporated measure that helps in development of teens. It is mandatory in some societies for youth to take up unpaid jobs for the betterment of everyone.
