Doing an enjoyable activity with a child can develop better skills and more creativity than reading. To what extent do you agree?

A great number of families ask their children to read every day since they believe that reading helps develop children's literacy and intelligence. While in the recent years, some parents prefer to do interesting activities with their children, as activities like DIY crafts and playing chess are efficient in helping children develop creative thinking. I personally agree with the
