Some people think that the government should put a tax on unhealthy food to encourage people to eat more healthily. Do you agree or disagree?

Over the past several decades, governments have been proposing to implement higher taxes on unhealthy
food
items. While some believe that it is a negative development, I personally believe that it will have a positive impact on the
country
for two main reasons. The
first
reason for implementing taxes is to reduce the pressure on public
health
care. While I agree that fast foods are easily available, i

I
elieve that increasing taxes on it will make difficult for people to buy it.Individuals who have unhealthy
food
habits, usually suffer from many
health
problems, which can be treated mainly in hospitals.
As a result
, the already failing public
health
services is more burdened. Countries need to spend more to construct hospitals and educate new doctors and nurses. As the saying goes, precaution is better than cure,
similarly
implementing taxes on processed and sugary foods would make it difficult for many people purchasing it.
This
brings me to my
second
reason, which is to control the mortality rate of a
country
. Individuals are the most important asset for any
country
. Less population means less people to develop and protect the
country
. I
however
believe that the continuous consumption of unhealthy foods like doughnuts, cold drinks and process
food
causes individuals to die early compared to the normal life span within a
country
. Any each death causes the
country
to lose unique skill, knowledge and
finally
income. Not implementing taxes will cause more suffering to the
country
and individuals will
also
get affected. In conclusion, not only will implementing taxes help to reduce the pressure on the public
