Many people believe that it is important to always tell the truth. In your opinion, is it ever acceptable to tell a lie? Explain your answer giving reasons and specific examples.

The majority of people hold the belief that it is crucial to tell the
truth
on every occasion.
However
, I think that there exist occurrences
where
have the quality of being; (copula, used with an adjective or a predicate noun)
were
telling lies can be viewed as more plausible. Drawing the line between when to be honest and when to lie is indeed complicated.
Nevertheless
, several occasions would gain more
favorable
encouraging or approving or pleasing
favourable
outcomes if a lie were told. To clarify
this
point, in situations where the surprise element plays a vital role, telling the
truth
would only spoil how people
involved feel
Suggestion
feel involved
.
For example
, a mother who is taking her son to a surprise birthday party, would act like she is driving him to school in order to make her child feel
exhilirated
made joyful
exhilarated
when he
finally
arrives at the scene.
Additionally
, an obvious advantage of a harmless lie is its instantaneous soothing effect.
For instance
, people can tell lies about their partners' looks to greatly boost their self-esteem as these types of lie come with good intentions.
Moreover
, these benevolent lies can certainly help reinforce relationships between the so-called liar and their loved ones. Brutal honesty does not always yield good results as well as achieve your goals. If a person is suffering from a loss, deviating from the
truth
can seemingly alleviate the initial pain of experiencing the shock. To add more, giving constructive criticism in the form of a lie should be particularly effective. An example of
this
is encountering an inefficient teammate.
Instead
of criticizing honestly, telling him that all members share the same hardship would not only enhance his performance but
also
forge better connections within the team. To conclude, lying is occasionally more beneficial than telling the
truth
as a lie will never backfire if its intention is righteous.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
