Nowadays celebrities earn more money than politicians. What are the reasons for this? Is it a positive or a negative development?

For better or worse, how celebrities are portrayed in the media, has a powerful impact on their remuneration. Indeed, many celebrities earn more than most professionals, including politicians. In
this
essay, I will examine two main reasons for
this
and explain why I feel
this
situation is a positive one. Two key factors contribute to hefty salaries of famous people. The
first
is that their talents tend to be unique. Stars like Oprah Winfrey or Lady Gaga are exceptionally talented, driven and
industrious

industrialism
, which is why they have achieved
such
fame, and the pay check that accompanies it. A politician simply could not fill an arena the way they can. The
second
reason for the wealth of celebrities is the income they generate for others. When Micheal Jordan became the face of Nike,
for instance
, he was paid so well because his association brought more sales for the company. An outstanding politician

,
on the other hand
clearly cannot generate business in the same way.
Although
many envy the lifestyles of the rich and famous, I feel that the fact that celebrities earn more than politicians is a positive development. The main reason is aspiration. When young people look to sports stars, actors, singers or even reality stars like the Kardashians who have made millions from their business ventures, they can understand that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. When those stars
also
make a contribution to charities and social welfare, as most do,
this
too sends a powerful message to the general public, and young people especially. While politicians can
also
inspire us, I feel that the successful, socially conscious celebs have more to offer. ‘ In conclusion, there is not doubt that famous people earn more than politicians. In my view,
this
is justified given their unique talents, their ability to create wealth for others, and to redirect their own back into the society.
