Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental problems. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

In
this
contemporary era, there is a huge controversy going on among people regarding major environmental problems which we are currently facing. Some people believe that the core reason being the extinction of various endangered species of plants and animals. While, the other group of mankind believes that there must be other some sources of pollution responsible for
this
matter.
However
, I personally follow the latter group of people and will be giving my personal opinion of the issue concerned.
Firstly
, some people believe that due to eradication of some species of the flora and fauna, major ecological issues are being generated.
For instance
, nowadays, due to the development of modern structures, the need for cutting down of trees is taking a leap as compared to earlier times. As trees are being cut in huge amounts, we are losing the source responsible for the generation of oxygen.
Moreover
, by endangerment of various animal species, scientists believe that, we are losing our ecological balance and perhaps the ratio of human by animals is recording a drastic increase. Which is being held accountable for
further
environmental problems.
Second group
Suggestion
A second group
of people believes that, the core reason behind
this
breathtaking ecological issue is the water, air, and the noise pollution.
For example
, factories release toxic and wasted matter into the air by means of chimneys. Due to which, we are suffering from major changes in our atmosphere resulting in variation in seasons.
Furthermore
, due to excessive usage of modern sound systems these days in occasions like marriage function, birthday party, and so on. We are facing a severe concern of noise pollution which is held equally responsible for environmental degradation. In conclusion, I personally believe that the major impact that we are seeing in our environment is mainly because of human carelessness and due to their never ending needs. To illustrate, people are consuming water blindly despite shortage of fresh aqua sources.
In addition
, release of hazardous chemicals in river accounts for major diseases in humans found these days. If we are able to overcome and control these types of issues related to water, air and noise,
then
, our environmental problems might observe a steady downfall.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
