A lot of money is spent on repairing old buildings. Instead of repairing old buildings that money should be spent on knocking down old buildings and building new ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

A huge amounts of money are spending on building of new buildings, or restoration of old ones.
This
fact causes a dispute among people. According to some of them,
instead
of repairing the older buildings that money should be spent on the construction of modern structures. To my way of thinking, it is complicated and tough to decide where exactly government should invest. The importance of modern buildings, without shadow of a doubt, is huge. Not just for its exterior or interior, but because of its convenience. New buildings are capable to ensure an almost perfect condition for working. As far as in their building is being used the modified building materials with better quality in comparison with the older constructions.
Moreover
, modern building is
also
might be environmentally-friendly, since the global problem is taken into the consideration during its construction. As an illustration might be considered the building constructed in Mexico, called "smog eating building", which is able to neutralize the negative effect which is coming from the thousand cars.
On the other hand
, repairing of old structures is
also
very important, since it is being an inherited value of ours. Destruction of them would be mean disrespect toward our ancestors because they are one of the few things
that is
remain throughout history.
Furthermore
, for some countries
this
ancient

structure
is even more valuable than modern ones. So they would never let be ruined and try to keep them safe as much as they can. In conclusion, making a statement regarding to investment politics is shouldn't be based just on personal interest or economical reason. In my opinion, preserving ancient buildings is very important and the issue of their restoration must be non-negotiable.
