These days, problems with pollution are becoming worse, particularly in large cities. What are the reasons for this and how can this be solved? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In the cities across the world, the issue of polluting becomes more concerning day by day, especially for metropolises. In
this
essay, the problem will be reviewed in the matter of modern behaviour of overconsumption and overproduction. These days, people’s behaviour of consuming rocketed to an enormous level, pushing companies to increase their productivity.
Therefore
, thousands of factories every day costs our planet a vast variety of management problems
such
as air, water and soil corruption. One of the main reasons for it, which scientists from the University of Berlin named in the annual report from 2019, is a factory activity rapidly increased in the cities with high population density. By the report, companies tend to invest in spreading out their factories all over the world twice less money than they spent on management over the decade. Not only uncontrolled production makes an impact on the level of pollution, but
also
the final consumer of products. One-use items,
such
as coffee cups, plastic straws and shop bags, create the large portion of the cities.
Besides
the product itself, the trash bin is fulfilled by packaging
that is
thrown out immediately after opening. All of these waste requires a tremendous space for landfill facilities where an inappropriate decomposition is usually performed.
For instance
, a recent publication by Russian Science Society proves the success of reducing the usage of packed products: the families, who regularly buy food in bulk, produce 45% less plastic than that of a single package. The problem of air infection is complex, and cannot be solved with one action solely.
However
, the government can cause initial changes via establishing environmentally-friendly policies of recycling management and wise consumption. Regarding the production processes, if companies are forced to follow health and safety procedures and control the quality and quantity of wasted materials they produce, the cities’ environment will become cleaner.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
