Some people think that government is wasting money on the arts and that this money could be used better elsewhere. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is believed by some people that
government
expenditure on the arts is wasteful, and the same funds can be allocated to better use elsewhere. I completely disagree with
this
view, as the arts are an important part of the
culture
and
heritage
of any country, and without financial help from state its survival is impossible.
Firstly
, monetary help from rule is indispensable for the artists. To put it differently, the income of artists is generally low and most of them are so passionate about their work that they dedicate most of their time to their artwork.
Thus
, official help, in the form of stipends and pensions, becomes necessary for their survival as they may have no other reliable income source. If
government
aids to the artists are withdrawn, they may be forced to take up other occupations in order to survive, leading to the loss of
art form
Suggestion
the art form
they created. For
this
reason,
government
expenditure on the arts and the artists is important.
Secondly
, since it is well known by everyone that,
art
is an important part of one’s
culture
and
heritage
. In order to preserve the
culture
and
heritage
of a particular region, the traditional
art
forms of that region, may that be in the form of paintings, dances or literature, must be preserved and kept alive.
Furthermore
, The cost involved in the preservation and sometimes revival of different
art
forms are too high to be borne by an individual or small groups,
thus
, making
government
intervention indispensable.
For instance
,
government
finances some courses, at the
government universities
Accept comma addition
government, universities
, linked to traditional
art
forms like Gatka, Kathak and Bharatnatium to name, but a few.
Thus
,
government
aid is vital to keep different
art
forms alive and blooming. To conclude, arts is an integral part of the
culture
and
heritage
and its survival and progress is important, which can be brought about by supporting the artists and keeping the various
art
forms alive,
however
, these tasks require a huge sum of money and are only possible with
government
intervention.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
