of making movies. Many adaptations prove to be abject failures due to their superficial plots, which could severely damage books and authors’ reputations. They

state that the ready availability of scenes blocks rather than stimulates the audience’s imagination. In response to these claims, I would contend that while many

adaptations cannot develop the original plots to the fullest extent, they could still be escapism and serve their entertainment purposes.

It is a proper practice as it contributes to better preservation of the monuments, museums and other touristy spots.
