Government investment in the arts, such as music and theatre, is a waste of money. Governments must invest this money in public services instead. To what extend do you agree with this statement?

Money
investment by
government
is one of the critical arguments nowadays. There are those who are in fa

in cultural and heritage values.
However
, many commentators are of the view that it must be invested in public services. I tend to believe that there must be some amount of investment into our museums,
music
, and theatre, which enhances the historical-cultural values, but at the same time, public services should not be ignored. There are several reasons for spending a significant amount of
money
on Public services.
Firstly
, there is a need to improvising public transport into the city. In some countries, these services are provided by private companies to improve the quality of public transport while controlling the price.
Secondly
, education and healthcare must be improved.
For instance
, they can provide resources in
government
schools for the betterment of those who are not privileged to study in higher class private schools. Unfortunately,
this
is something that the
government
is not looking forward to.
On the other hand

To begin
with, it is very difficult for some art and

institutes
to cope up without help from the
government
.
As a result
, many primitive
institutes
have been closing these days. Adding to
this
, arts, and other related
institutes
play a vital role in our lives. Many people get pleasure in going to see the
music
and theatre and
thus
it is a prime responsibility of the
government
to provide funds and they can
then
continue to entertain individuals. To summarize, both sides of the argument are equally strong. As the issue with public services are more and there are clear benefits of investments goes into public services as
this
influences the quality of life for nearly all of us.
Although
, I do not believe that providing funds to the art and
music
institutes
is a waste of
money
.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
