Fresh water has always been a limited resource in some parts of the world. Today, however, growing worldwide demand has made this a global problem. What are the causes of the increased demand and what measure could governments and individuals take to respond to this problem? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In earlier days getting a pure drink is not a big deal as it is a boon from mother nature. Our forefathers are fortunate enough to have the beautiful resources around them. At present, we are dealing with no rain situation in some parts of the world. In my childhood we never went anywhere to get water. If we observe in some places at present one should travel to some place to get the water. Nowadays, the use of electronic and petroleum related product consumption is high and destroying forests for building apartments. There is no balance of consumption and preservation of natural resources. Global warming is one of the reasons for the current situation. The initiative should be in place to preserve few resources for the future generations. Government and individuals should take the action in preserving the nature boons by Rainwater harvesting and save forests, plant more trees, recycling of used resources. If we do similar things it will dramatically increase the ground level, which in term gives good results. In our day to day life we need rain for sure. Without that I can't imagine my day. My personal opinion is everyone should be responsible for the global cause. I am concluding by saying 'Save water, save a life'.
