Tourism is encouraged in many countries. Does tourism bring more advantages or disadvantages to a country.

It is widely argued that
tourism
is becoming a popular sector and it has been encouraged in my countries. Despite the
tourism
being criticized for its negative effects, I believe that, if sustainable,
tourism
would bring to a
country
more advantages than disadvantages. If before
tourism
was seen as an opportunity for a
country
to develop and become more wealthy, lately has started to be seen as a threat
for
Suggestion
to
the
country
as the modernization that it brings, leads often to loss of traditions and culture.
Tourism
is often considered a great cause of pollution and depletion of natural habitat. I agree with that, too often government pushed their countries to invest in new infrastructures that had destroyed the ecosystem and the creation of buildings for the hospitality that do not take into consideration the surrounding environment, destroying the integrity of the landscapes. These eco-monsters had ruined many paces letting these countries losing their previous charm.
Nevertheless
,
tourism
can help a
country
to reveal its beauty and the
population
could really benefit from it. In my opinion, the solution is contained in the way
tourism
is developed.
In other words
, if we encourage a
tourism
that do not have an impact on the environment,
this
can be a good source of income for the
population
without losing anything else. Sustainable
tourism
could even help to promote awareness regarding the traditions of the
country
visited, keeping
this
alive. Green
tourism
is developed for connecting responsible tourists to the
country
they are visiting, without negatively impacting the
population
and using infrastructures that respect precise standards. In conclusion, I think that
tourism
is a great opportunity to get to know other countries, and if
tourism
follows certain regulations, it can be of a great help for the
population
that it will economically benefit from it without impacting into the environment and promoting the respect of the culture and traditions.
