A lot of money is spent on repairing old buildings. Instead of repairing old buildings that money should be spent on knocking down old buildings and building new ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

however, in
my view, the old buildings should be preserved as they carry the significant value in country’s historical importance.
To begin
with, every country carries its unique heritage and architectural designs which need to be protected as the legacy for the
next
generation.
For instance
, several monuments and ancient sculptures have huge importance in linking the younger generation to their past historical events and traditions by acting as a source of education.
Moreover
, these ancient buildings provide a big boom to the tourism industry by attracting lots of visitors and
thus
, helping in boosting the nation’s economy by generating the revenue for the government.
Additionally
, all the restaurants and shops surroundings, these monuments earn their livelihood from the tourists visiting to see the architectural work.
However
, the construction materials used in the old designs are not readily available and
thus
, making the entire project of reparation and maintenance highly expensive. Contrarily, some people believe that money should be spent on making the new eco-friendly buildings by demolishing the old ones. They are considered to be more secure and safe with the options of solar energy panels and decreased carbon footprint emissions. To recapitulate, I opine that regardless the benefits of environmentally friendly buildings, the historical monuments and sculpture should be repaired in order to preserve the heritage and culture of the country. The ancient architectural designs cannot be recreated once they are demolished for the new buildings and
hence
, their limited numbers should be protected by the government.
