The prevention of health problems and illness is more important than treatment and medicine. Government funding should reflect this. To what extent do you agree?
It is a common perception that Governments should allocate more funds for the prevention of diseases and
health
issues instead
of wasting a huge amount on hospitals and hefty priced medicines. In my opinion, both are equally important for the well being of the society.
Every Government should spend their budget on the awareness campaigns and educate the community about the preventive measures because it is today's requirement to educate them about their personal hygiene. There are some ailments that could be cured just by taking strict measures, so, it would save us from hospitals and strong medication. For example
, there was an outspread of Dangue in Pakistan in 2014 and government tried to control this
pandemic only through treatment. But at the end, they realize that this
outbreak could easily controlled by creating awareness among people. This
step greatly reduced the number of patients next
year.
On the other hand
, it is a harsh reality that some ailments could not control by following preventive measures, therefore
, it's become essential for government to invest money in the development of an infrastructure for proper treatment and vaccination. For example
, cancer and HIV-AIDS are lethal disorders and these patients need an extensive health
care and special treatment. Due to a huge amount of funding by Governments, Scientists introduced Chemotherapy and finally
, we are able to save hundreds of lives or at least lesson their pain.
To conclude, some people believe that the Government should reestablish their budget policy of health sector
. The authorities should priorities precautionary measurements as a mandatory element in tackling Suggestion
the health sector
health
problems. Whereas, it is equally important to establish better health
care facilities.Submitted by Sadia on
