It is said that in Britain, old people frequently live together in one house with someone to take care of them. In my opinion, it is the government's responsibility to pay their caring expenses, not their family members for several reasons.
To begin
with, looking after elders
takes
Suggestion
take
too much time, which most people do not have to devote it to them. In fact,
this
is an actual full time job which care takers are getting paid to do even more than a normal employee.
In addition
, nowadays most people are having hard times to make a decent living out of their jobs. They have to work a lot to save money to build a better life for themselves and secure the future of their children.
Therefore
, they would not have enough money to spend on recruiting nurses to take care of their old parents.
Moreover
, in
this
capitalistic modern lifestyle, people sacrifice their lifetime to serve the society before they are retired and work until they still have the energy to do so and
also
pay insurance fees to ensure they are being cared after their retirement.
Thus
, it seems that the related authorities should pay back what they have done during their employment days and should manage to provide them a safe and healthy place to live the rest of their day. If they do not repay elders for all their efforts, they might feel they are not respected enough and could be depressed. In conclusion, making sure old people are being cared properly is an important issue nowadays and to my mind, it is mostly the government's duty to fulfil their needs and bring them a comfortable living.
