The best way to solve the world's environmental problems is to increase the cost of fossil fuel. Do you agree or disagree ?

With the environmental problem becoming increasingly serious than ever, it is thought by many that the key method to address
this
dilemma is to accelerate fossil
fuel
prices. I partly agree with
this
point of view. On the one hand, various reasons could explain why an increase in the price of fossil
fuel
would be an effective way to tackle environmental issues.
Firstly
, it forces companies to make a considerable effort seeking alternative energy sources
such
as wind, solar, and water power.
As a result
,
this
would not only help these profit-orientated institutions save money, but it is
also
a way to directly reduce the number of emissions released into the atmosphere.
Secondly
,
fuel
costs rise might encourage citizens to use public transports rather than driving their private vehicles.
Therefore
, air pollution and global warming will be more likely to be mitigated. If there were no acceleration in the fossil
fuel
price, the public would exploit more and more unsustainable energy because of its efficiency and affordability.
Nevertheless
, I believe that other fruitful solutions can
also
be significantly deal with these environmental problems.
To begin
with, governments can raise people's awareness about the importance of protecting the natural world by launching educational initiatives.
Consequently
, individuals are more likely to have a deep understanding of how pivotal it is to preserve our mother nature, which in turn leads to more appropriate actions that will be taken.
Moreover
, national or international leaders could put more financial resources into investing in innovating technological breakthroughs to halt the reliance on unrenewable sources. Not only can environment-related problems

combatted, but the prosperity of a nation
also
be enormously strengthened. In conclusion, while increasing the cost of fossil
fuel
is
such
a helpful way to conserve the environment, I believe that other effective measures that should be taken into account are crucial as well.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
