There are split opinion regarding
death
penalty. Some people think that certain crimes are so serious in nature that people should be hanged to
death
to exemplify other not to commit
this
crime
again. Whereas other groups of thinkers support the view that it should be out from law directories.
However
, both aspects have its pros and cons.
Therefore
, before commenting on my opinion, I will explain both aspects in
further
essay.
Examining the former opinion, the primary argument the supporter would put forward is capital punishment is justified and should be given as it deters the
crime
and provide relief to those who are hurt.
This
is because they believe that applying
death
punishment sends a message to all those who are involved in the same
crime
, about the consequences against the action and the fear of
death
may stop them from doing
such
crimes.
In addition
, it
also
gives relief to the victim’s family as the justice being served and their faith on system will
also
increase automatically.
Moreover
, it will
also
cut the cost bear by government for prisoner and
thus
this
budget can be used elsewhere in the most appropriate way. A good example of
this
, I saw a few days back on Tv, it was an incident about a rape of 8 year old girl and murdered. The government acted and after a detailed investigation the offender was found and hanged to
death
. In a country like Pakistan it becomes an example and the offender for sure take their step back while looking at the consequences.
On the contrary
, the latter view suggests that
death
warrant is harmful for the society in many ways because there are innocent people who are wrongly convicted and executed during the investigation they may be their friends or part of their gathering but never been involved in their activities.
For instance
, if
such
happens due to mistake it cannot be rectified and innocent life may be lost forever. Despite of capital punishment the recent report in Karachi says there is an increase in violation rate every year by 25% which huge.
For example
, a violation rate for mobile snatching is quite common and if one resists they fire and shoot them dead.
Such
offenders need to be jailed and educate them and government should plan to provide ways for resources so they can avoid
such
lawlessness.
Thus
, to sum up and comment by an idea, I would say,
although
rising red flags, but if it is given after a serious
crime
in an appropriate action it very would be beneficial for the society in term of preventing
crime
and low down the imprisonment cost and
also
redirecting
such
budgets in other projects.
