In many countries it is now illegal to smoke in public places. It is only fair that people who wish to smoke should have to leave the building. Do you agree or disagree?

Smoking in public places is not only dangerous for the smokers but also for the people in the surrounding. Several countries have taken an initiative to ban smoking in public places. However, if anyone wants to smoke, he or she should leave the vicinity. I completely agree with the given statement due to several reasons which i would substantiate with valid supporting reasons in the ensuring paragraph. It is irrefutable that smoking has many side effects. First and the foremost is passive smoking. Smoking is not injurious for one who is smoking, but it also has detrimental effects on the other people as well. For example, a study conducted by the World Pulmonology society, revealed that 6 out of 10 people who exposed to smoke indirectly, develop pulmonary hypertension. Furthermore, those individuals who are asthmatic cannot work efficiently if exposed to smoke. Thus, it is imperative to allot a separate area for the smokers in order to prevent others. Secondly, the probability of suffering from cancer is almost equal is active and passive smokers, because cigarette contains carcinogenic elements. For example, According to the recent statistics shared by world oncology society, smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer around the world. One cannot deny the fact that it is not easy for a smoker to stop smoking in a day or two, since it has various withdrawal effects. Therefore, proper awareness related to the consequences of smoking should be spread by leading societies to halt this major health concern. Hence, in order to recapitulate, it can be said that smoking is responsible for serious health issues for smokers and non-smokers as well. It is much important to mark which area is a building is smoke free and should nominate a dedicated place for smokers.
