Task 1: The charts give information about world forest in five different regions.

The pie charts compare the proportion of world woodland and log in five continents. Overall, while Africa is the region with the highest percentage of jungle cover, Asia is in the opposite situation.
, the largest amount of world timber is taken from North America, while Africa is by far the smallest lumber producer. In terms of trees, Africa occupies the largest area, 27% of the jungle world, which is almost twice as much as that of Asia. North America comes in
with their green zone amounting to a quarter of the total forest. Meanwhile, Europe and South America account for only 18% and 16% of global forest. Regarding the lumber production, North American countries contain the largest proportion, contributing to 30% of total global timber. Meanwhile, South America and Europe can produce about 23% and 20% of global timber respectively.
, wood in Africa makes up only 9% of total global production, which is exactly a half of that in Asia.
