stage of schooling life. There is no doubt that our ability to learn a

is at its prime when we were young. Without having to worry about anything, primary school goers have a tendency to acquire new knowledge easily.
For example
, most children in Malaysia have to learn 3 different languages, Malay, Chinese and English, during their primary education and almost all of them can comprehend in these three languages before they become a teenager.
However
, forcing children to learn many different languages has its drawbacks too. We have to take into consideration that the elementary education nowadays requires students to study many subjects
such
as mathematics, science, history and geography. Adding another subject to their busy schedule may create unnecessary pressure.
For example
, I have seen kids run into depression because they were unable to handle their overloaded school works. It is extremely important for kids to grow up in a stress free learning environment.
Moreover
, letting children to start learning a foreign
language
while they are in their secondary education
also
enable them to choose the
language
of their interest. In conclusion, I feel that it is better to let the children start learning a foreign
language
when they are in their teens.

will ensure that they enjoy a healthy childhood learning environment which is beneficial to them in the long run.
