Some cultures think old people are of higher value than the youth, while other cultures value the youth more. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Domination of cultural practices has been going on for decades. It is believed by some that old people hold a higher prestige while other cultures argue that the
value
should be given to youth.
This
essay will discuss both the views. Old people are a treasure to
society
. Some cultures believe that older people can contribute more to
society
and
thus
value
them.
This
thinking can be justified by looking at their cultures that teach them to respect elders and always obey them.
For instance
, in some Indian cultures the younger person always has to bow down to the eldest one to show respect.
Moreover
, they are considered to be wise and having a superior level of knowledge. Through their knowledge they can teach us some words of wisdom as well. These reasons indicate why some people believe they hold a higher
value
.
On the other hand
, young generation is valued more by some cultures. Generally, youngsters are considered to be energetic and possess greater enthusiasm to perform various day to day activities.
Furthermore
, they believe giving them importance will encourage them to be better individuals of
society
.
For example
, in the UK a poll between selecting youngsters over senior people was preferred, due to their immense strength to perform a task. In my opinion, the worth of an individual varies according to the age and most importantly, the situation. Every senior citizen of a country deserves
value but
Accept comma addition
value, but
this
doesn’t mean that less
value
should be given to young generation. In conclusion,
this
essay discussed both sides of the argument. I believe a person of any age should be valued equally in the
society
to avoid any sense of superiority and unjust system.
