You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you found it difficult to work. Write your letter to the accommodation office at your college - Describe the situation - Explain your problems and why it is difficult to work - Say what kind of accommodation you prefer

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing
this
letter regarding my current living conditions.
Although
the accommodation facility allotted to me is fine the real problem lies with my
roommate
. It has become impossible for me to study while sharing the room with him. I hope you will pay heed to my current predicament. Let me elaborate

situation. It's been 3 months now when my
roommate
moved in. Previously I had no complaints regarding my old
roommate
as he was quite considerate. My current
roommate
is
however
quite opposite. He stays up all night and plays loud music making it impossible for me to sleep. Every day he is inviting friends over who make a lot of noise. His sense of hygiene is
also
a matter of great concern to me. I waste most of my time cleaning up his mess which leaves me less time to study. Would you be kind enough to transfer me or my
roommate
to another room? My preference would be to live with someone who is quieter and more considerate of others. Someone who
also
shares the responsibility of keeping the room clean. Thank you for your consideration. Yours faithfully,

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
